Paul R. Jophlin, Sr., 72, of West Frankfort, Illinois, formerly of Indianapolis passed away on March 12, 2013. He was born on April 28, 1936 in Indianapolis to Edward and Anna Jophlin. Paul was a veteran of the US Army and volunteered for the Veteran's Depot in West Frankfort, Illinois. He enjoyed many crafts and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Janet Jophlin; children, Anna McIntosh, Paul Jophlin, Jr., Darlena Ruston, James Jophlin, and David Jophlin; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Corene Chirch and Letha Stevens and brother, Larry Jophlin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Jophlin; sister, Barbara Hardwick; brother, Eddie Jophlin and two great grandchildren, Cheyanne Jophlin and Alexus Smothers. Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 from 12:30 p.m to 2:30 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.
