HERRIN -- Neva Naomi "Na" Davis, 88, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, in Helia Healthcare of Carbondale. Neva Naomi was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Blairsville Township, the daughter of John and Mary (Trull) Priddy. She retired from Olin Matheison, where she worked as a quality control inspector. Survivors include her son, Harold Eugene Davis of Herrin; daughter, Sharon K. Hardin of Marion; sister, June Pritchard of Benton; many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Helen Russell of Herrin. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bruce and Michael Dean Davis; grandson, Mark Allen Rogers; four sisters, Myrtle Vancil, Helen Baker, Ruth Davis and Mildred Priddy; and the love of her life, Joseph E. Davis. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece, Pam Cross, for all the care and support she provided. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 1, in Herrin City Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery.
