You must be talking about another Nathaniel Jones, the one who's cabin is in middle of Thompsonville and is pictured in that article is S/o Moses well documented family. Both Moses & Nathaniel have tombstones in Jones Cemetery but not buried there. Moses Jones the father of most Jones in that area died in Spring Settlement near Browning Hill and buried there. I have been to his cabin and have taken pictures years ago shortly after it was rebuilt in Thompsonville. Nathaniel's widow Rachel and the younger children are on the 1850 census. I have a transcript of his probate, probably from one of Carla's books, but don't have it on this computer. I think it names all their children. Rachel's maiden name was Anderson per other researchers; I haven't seen the marriage record, and I'm not sure how they know her name. As far as I know, no one has been able to find Nathaniel's parents' names. Two of their sons Albert and Charles married my gg-aunts Nancy Jane and Sarah Carlile, and another son PK was married to a relative on my maternal side. Also, I have a first cousin who is a direct descendant of Nathaniel & Rachel. And our farm is across the road from where the cabin used to stand. The next generation to live in the cabin was Nathaniel's & Rachel's son Philander "PK" Jones and his wife Sarah (Bailey) Hungate Jones. My great aunt told me aboutn visiting relatives at the Jones cabin and playing with other children there, at Dixon-Bailey family reunions, about 1900-1910, but she wasn't clear exactly how the people in the cabin were related. I had a time figuring that out as well, until I realized Sarah Bailey's first husband died, and she had remarried PK Jones. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ILFRANKL-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
