per Northern Twp, Franklin Co, IL, A History Vol 2 (GOSS 2002) pg 612 WILLIAMS, Ezra, 63, of 403 E. Webster Street, Benton, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1976 at Franklin Hospital. A lifetime resident of Franklin County, he had been sick for three months. He was retired custodian of East Benton Baptist Church and the Benton Library. He was a member of First Apostolic Church. He is survived by his wife, Lorene HUTCHCRAFT WILLIAMS, and four children: Jackie and Ronnie WILLIAMS, both of Benton; Billy WILLIAMS of Chicago Heights; and Mrs. Mary BETZLER, Indianapolis. He leaves seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrss. Lillie SUMMERS and Mrs. Iva STEWART, both of Benton, Mrs. Virginia TOWNLEY of Crete. Preceded in death by three brothers: John, Carl, and Robert WILLIAMS. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, with Mr. Robert DANIELS officiating.
