    2. SDorris
    3. http://ilhamilton.genealogyvillage.com/ I'm working on the Hamilton Co page today. I could use a little help. I need to know what old newspapers there was and where to find them. Also, I could use a list of cemeteries. And if they are online already I could just put a link to them. If I'm not mistaken part of the Macedonia cem is in Hamilton so I could link to it from the FCI page. If anyone has any surnames for the surname contact page I put an email link there. I'll get the bio's out of the 5 co Hist and So IL Hist that is in the public domain. The census I'll get from the same places as Franklin Mgs & Land from IL State Archives Let me know is I got any big mistakes. Thanks for the help Susan

SRJ: Macedonia Cem. is "in" Northern Twp., FCI - but JoAnn / Carol have a listing of it at: http://www.carolyar.com/Illinois/Cemetery/Macedonia/Macedonia.htm I have 467 pictures of stones I took there in 2006 -- 234Mb; I can send these to you if you want (I don't believe these are on-line anywhere) -- perhaps via a DropBox or ??? 3. Susan, There is the Good Hope Cemetery in Hamilton Co. It is close to the Saline Co. line and I think in Flannigan Twp. This cemetery was restored a few years ago and has been maintained until now by a group of the Tate Family who lives close to it. It is in danger of falling into disrepair again because of the age of the people who try to keep it clean. It has John V. Tate buried in it and he was a Civil war Vet. I have a list of the people buried there or what could be found after the clean up and stones were uncovered. Would you want a copy of that list??? Also is there anyway Hamilton co. would take over maintaining this cemetery??? I can hardly stand to think of it growing up with trees and bushes again. The people who cleaned it a few years ago litterly crawled on hands and knees finding graves and then cleaning it. Why oh Why aren't these old cemeteries important to the counties??? -----Original Message----- From: ilfrankl-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ilfrankl-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of SDorris Sent: Saturday, March 30, 2013 1:53 PM To: ilfrankl@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILFRANKL] NEED HELP IN HAMILTON http://ilhamilton.genealogyvillage.com/ I'm working on the Hamilton Co page today. 3. Susan Carol Yarbrough clearly states on her HCI website, the Macedonia Cemetery is in Franklin County: http://www.carolyar.com/Illinois/cemeteries.htm The direct link to the cemetery is: http://www.carolyar.com/Illinois/Cemetery/Macedonia/Macedonia.htm The cemetery work includes a lot of notes. I would think it best to just link to her website for this cemetery unless you intend to get all the gravestones photographed to post on your website. Note the following statement from the cemetery web page: We have been granted permission by the compiler, JoAnn McGhee, and the Frankfort Area Genealogy Society to post this Cemetery Transcription at our website. We are much indebted to Jo Ann for this wonderful piece of historical work. Jo Ann has requested that any corrections or additions be emailed to her at jmcghee6@bellsouth.net.
