The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Wednesday, October 19, 1977 David Sneed Ina David Sneed, 66, of Ina died at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was a retired mechanic and welder. Mr. Sneed was bom in Illinois, on Jan. 1, 1911, the son of David and Bessie (Newsome) Sneed. He was married to the former Lucy Wilson. She survives. Mr. Sneed was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church near Whittington, the Oddfellows and Rebekah Lodge, Whittington, and the Ina Ruritan Club. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ina Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Clyatt and the Rev. Dale Burzynski officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery, Ina. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Thursday, Besides his wife, Mr. Sneed is survived by two sons, Kenneth of Manteno and Donald D. of Kankakee; two brothers, Ton (sic.) Sneed of Dallas, Tex., and Herman Sneed of Benton; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Drennan of Stockton, Calif Mrs. Carmen Waller also of Stockton, Calif., and Mrs. Katherine Neal of Mt. Vemon, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a grandchild.
