Former Mt. Vernon resident Jeanne Cremeens, age 65, died April 30th at Florida Hospital Tampa. Jeanne was Day Care Director of Logan Street Baptist Church 1986-1999. She loved all children, it was her passion. The funeral service for Jeanne Cremeens will be held at 1pm Monday at Logan Street Baptist Church, with Reverend Larry Richmond officiating. Visitation will be at Logan Street Baptist church from 5-8pm Sunday and again from 12:00 until 1pm Monday. In memory of Jeanne, donations can be made to Logan Street Day Care. Jeanne was born May 15th, 1948, in Christopher, IL the daughter of Jack and Margaret Payne. She married Scott Cremeens on December 20th, 1969, in Ewing, at 1st Baptist Church of Ewing. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Willis Payne.
