Benton Evening News, September 9, 2001 Ina - Kenneth Roger Sneed, 59, died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. Funeral services for Mr. Sneed are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina, with the Rev. Dale Burzynski officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Sneed was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Ina, the son of David Sneed Jr. and Lucy (Wilson) Sneed . He married Joan Marlen Sievers in Kankakee on Jan. 22, 1972, and she survives. Mr. Sneed was a police officer at the Rend Lake Conservancy District. He was a member of the Ina Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Sneed was a lifetime member of the NRA and also a member of the Boneyard Boccie Ball Club. Mr. Sneed is survived by his wife, Joan, Ina; two sons, Kenneth Wade Sneed, Murphysboro, and Roger Clay Sneed, Germany; one daughter, Linda Lee Toms, Marion, Iowa; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald David Sneed.
