Jonathan Overturf married Catherine Teffetiller on Aug. 3, 1863 Franklin County, Illinois. Jonathan & Catherine had a daughter Sarah Ellen who was born June 19, 1864. Jonathan Overturf died on the way to Springfield on Aug. 2, 1865. He was buried at Browning Hill Cemetery. Catherine then married Nelson Dees on Jul 11, 1866 in Franklin County, Illinois. I was wanting to know what became of Sarah Ellen Overturf? Thanks, Dale

Sheila, Thanks for the information. I have a note that Sarah Ellen was buried at Browning Hill next to her father. But I have no proof of this at this time. I have been given some names of folks buried there at Browning but there are no stones for them or the stones are broken to bits. I will dowser near Jonathans grave and see if there is a grave. Once I have the cemetery dowsered out and down I will give a copy to anyone who wants it. Thanks so much for the information.
