WALTONVILLE -- Michael S. Romani, 46, of Waltonville, formerly of Sesser, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, in Herrin Hospital. He worked in mine construction. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sesser. Michael was also a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was an avid outdoorsman, St. Louis Cardinals and Blues Fan. He was born in Benton to Danny and Karen (Allen) Romani. Survivors include special friend and partner, Amber Sims of Waltonville; children, Wade Romani, Elaina Romani and Caroline Ramoni, all of Du Quoin, and Zane Hardesty of Waltonville; Sister, Valerie and Chad Miller and Kendra Romani, both of Sesser; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; wife, Shelly (Browning) Ramoni and two uncles. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23, in Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, with the Rev. Dan Jurek officiating. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
