The Southern Illinoisan, Thursday, May 14, 1964 L. GRANT EUBANKS OF BENTON DIES Mr. L. Grant Eubanks, 53, of Rt. 3, Benton, died at home Wednesday afternoon, after an illness. He was a coal miner, employed at the Elkville Mine. He was a member of the UMW of A local 4406 and the Masonic Lodge of Valier. He was born in Franklin County, Dec. 31, 1910, the son of Hosa and Maudie Burks Eubanks, He married Freda Stockton. He leaves his wife, two sons, Robert Dean, of St. Peters, Mo., and Donald Montgomery, of Aurora; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Jackson of O'Fallon and Mrs. Bonnie Lawson of Aurora; his stepmother, Mrs. Epsa Eubanks of Benton; one stepsister, Mrs. Maxine Bullock, Christopher and a stepbrother, Wayne Moore of Benton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher, with the Rev. Elmer R. Trumbough, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Sesser. Friends may call at the Gilbert Funeral Home after 6:30 p.m. today.
