The Herald & Review, Decatur, IL, December 30, 1997 Virgil Lee Risley, 82, of Windsor died 2:10 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 28, 1997) in the Arthur Nursing Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Windsor Christian Church with the Rev. Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Memorials: Windsor Christian Church. Mr. Risley was born in Sesser on June 26, 1915, the son of Oscar and Hattie Stubblefield Risley . He was a member of Windsor Christian Church and retired from General Electric Co. in Mattoon. He married Leona Lee Dilliner in Sesser on June 26, 1937. Surviving are his wife; sons, Louis of Mattoon; Howard of Sullivan; Bill of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Richard of Austin, Texas; Wayne of Arthur; Dale of Mount Vernon; daughter, Bonnie Ballinger of Bourbonnais; brother, Noble Risley of Benton; sister, Thera Lambert of St. Louis, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
