    3. Elmer LEFLER, 75, Retired Miner, Dies Here Monday Elmer LEFLER, 75, of 1107 Putman St., Benton, died at the family residence at 9 p.m. Monday following an illness of the past three years. He was a retired coal miner who last worked at the Old Ben 14 mine. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the North Benton Baptist Church, of the United MIne Workers of America and of the American Legion Post 280, Benton. He was a son of the late Thomas and Missouri LEFLER. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel EUBANKS, a daughter, Mrs. Pansy PARRISH of Moses Lake, Wash., two sons, James LEFLER of Crown Point, Ind., and Clarence LEFLER of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif., nine grandchildren, a brother, Fred LEFLER of Sesser, and a sister, Mrs., Iva WOODS of Benton. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but they will be under the direction of the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, in Benton where the body will lie in state after 7 p.m. today. ---------------------------------- Note: Obit published on 3-1-1965. Probably the Benton Evening News. Elmer and Ethel were both buried at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Elmer Lefler was first married to Polly Ann JONES in 1908 in Benton, mother of Pansy.
