Vernon Register-News, Monday, October 25, 1965 Everett Cross, Sesser Native, Dies At Home Everett Lon Cross, 75, a native of Sesser, died yesterday at his home in St. Louis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Baptist Church in Sesser with the Rev. E. A. Somers officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Cross was born in Sesser, the son of Jasper and Mary (Hammonds) Cross. He was married to Lillie Hill who died In March, 1964, Survivors include three sons, Loren, Paul and Henry Cross, all of St. Louis; a brother, Troy Cross of Murphysboro; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
