The Southern Illinoisan,Tuesday, May 29, 1962 KIRKPATRICK SERVICES SET TODAY AT SESSER Funeral services for John Kirkpatrick, 62, of near Sesser, who died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 2 a. m. Sunday in Miners Hospital Christopher, were at 2 p. m, today at the Horse Prairie Baptist Church near Sesser. The Rev. Hugh Moore, assisted by the Rev. Wayne Thomas, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. A retired farmer and miner, Mr. Kirkpatrick was born Feb. 16, 1900, in Barren Township, the son of Edward and Dora Swisher Kirkpatrick. He leaves his wife, Delcie; step-mother, Mrs. Noie Kirkpatrick of Iowa; daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Hawkins and Mrs. Lorene Moore, both of Steger, Mrs. Dora Gulley of Herrin; sisters, Mrs. Irene Sample of Sesser, Mrs. Sybil Heiple of Du Quoin, and Mrs. Mary Harris of Iowa; brothers. Glen of Defiance, Ohio, Edward of Sesser; and 11 grandchildren.
