Vernon Register-News, Monday, March 13, 1967 Carrie Williams Dies At Age 83; Rites At Sesser Mrs. Carrie Williams. 83, of Sesser, died at 7;20 p.m. Saturday in Franklin County Hospital at Benton. Funeral services will be held at 2;00 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of God in Sesser, of which she was a member. The Rev. Roy Rich and the Rev. Bobby Barger will officiate. Burial will be in Hammonds cemetery near Sesser. The body will lie in state at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today. Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 12, 1884, in Franklin county, the daughter of Moses and Amy Taylor. She was first married to Henry Roberts, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1930. She later married Earl Williams, who survives. She is also survived by four sons, Archie Roberts, Clifford Roberts, Clarence Roberts, all of Sesser, and Stanley Roberts of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Zella Harland, Sesser; a sister, Mrs. Lula Jensen, Hemett, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two step-sons, Clifford Williams of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Edward Williams of Steger, Ill.
