James Maloy Willis, 91, of Kingston, Tenn., formerly of Mt. Vernon, died 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Roane Medical Center in Harriman, Tenn.He was born Tuesday, April 25, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Thomas and Evelyn (Maloy) Willis. He first married Ruth Ellen Drennan on Nov. 29, 1946, in Mt. Vernon and she preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 1997. He later married Etta Louise Colburn on Aug. 19, 2000, in Kingston, Tenn.James served our country in the Navy Reserve. He worked maintenance as a steam fitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Fitters Union 102 of Knoxville, Tenn., the Kerbela Temple, York Rite of Mt. Vernon, and the Scottish Rite of Knoxville, Tenn. He was also a member of the Masonic Union Lodge 38 and the Eastern Star Kingston Chapter 405. James attended Lawnville Road Church of Christ in Kingston, Tenn.He is survived by wife, Etta Louise Willis of Kingston, Tenn.; son, Jim Bill Willis and special friend Deanna Derry of Mt. Vernon; stepson, Steve Colburn of Kingston, Tenn.; and grandchild, Jason Derry.He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Ruth Ellen (Drennan) Willis.Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Masonic rites will be held at the cemetery.Visitation will be be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt.
