SESSER -- Roger Alan Overton, 32, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, in Franklin Hospital emergency room in Benton. He worked at Sesser Monument Company and was a former member of Sesser Fire Protection District. Overton was born Feb. 25, 1982, in Benton to Thomas "Tom" Overton of Sesser and Lanna (Bradley) Williams and stepfather, Robert Williams of Sesser. His life companion was Jill Hensley of Sesser. Survivors include his children, Kylie Overton, Kailyn Overton, Mara Hensley and Dakota Hensley; brothers and sisters, Wayne Overton of Centralia, Robin and Geo Ramsey of Christopher, Tiffany Emery of Sesser, Rhonda Overton of Carbondale, Tara Taylor of Yorkville and Patrick Overton of Sesser. Roger Overton is part of my Bradley and Brown families. His mother Lana is the daughter of Rose Ann Bradley. I don't know who her biological father is. She was raised by Harley Thomas Melton. 　 I knew the Overton family quite well when growing up.
