Thomas A. Jones BORN: March 1, 1928 DIED: February 25, 2014 LOCATION: Grovertown, Indiana GROVERTOWN-Thomas A. Jones, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home. Thomas was born March 1, 1928 in Thompsonville, IL to Johnie and Ola (Harris) Jones and lived in the area for eight years, coming from Benton, IL. On July 20, 1946 in Benton, IL, he was married to Ina Seel, who preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryll Wolber of Grovertown and Shelia (Jon) Stock of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, Frannie Kern of Ashland City, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, son-in-law, Bruce Wolber; four brothers, Dick, George, Paul and Willie Jones; and two sisters, Stella Neal and Mildred Elpers. Thomas was a retired employee of Youngstown Steel of Gary, IN. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a former member of the Masonic Lodge, Lake County, IN. There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be given to the 4-H Horse and Pony of Starke County. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake is handling arrangements.
