Rose L. Summers, 91, of Benton, IL, went to be with the Lord at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Stonebridge Senior Living Center, Benton, IL.      Mrs. Summers was born on October 25, 1922 in Logan, IL the daughter of Noah and Ethel Todd.  She married Clyde H. Summers on February 2, 1941 and he precedes her in death.      Rose was an active member of Eastern Star for many years, she served as Worthy Matron was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. lady’s auxiliary.  Rose was a best known for her excellent cooking and beautiful crafting.     Surviving relatives include her son, Larry C. Summers and wife Jane, Benton, IL, son-in-law, Jack Smith, Benton, IL, three grandchildren, Larry C. Summers II, and wife Crystal, Benton, IL, Tara Jacobs and husband Lonnie, Marion, IL, Traci Trill and husband Preston, Benton, IL, two step-grandchildren, Gina Gibbs and Sherma Dorris and husband Robert, eleven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, sister, Gladys Thompson, and brother, Kenny Todd and wife Linda.      Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde H. Summers, a daughter, Janice D. Smith, brothers and sisters, Lorene Cunningham, Lizzie Todd, Nadine Robey, James Todd, William Todd, Walter Todd, and John Todd, and step-grandson, Dwayne Waller.      Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton, IL.      Memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life and will be accepted at the funeral home.
