John's wife, Dorothy, is part of both my McLean and Brown families. The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Thursday, August 19, 1976; John L Gardiner Sesser John L. Gardiner, 71, of Sesser, died at Redwood Manor Nursing Home in Sesser. Tuesday. He was a retired foreman with the Osno Manufacturing Co. Mr. Gardiner was born in Canada on March 15, 1905, the son of Robert and Margaret (Hozlelt) Gardiner. He was married to Dorothy Kirk, who survives. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Ina Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dale Denham officiating. Burial was in Kirk cemetery. Mr. Gardiner is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and several nieces and nephews.
