    2. MACEDONIA -- Earlene Fisher, 93, passed away Monday evening, April 8, 2014, in Benton Rehab and Health Care Center in Benton. She was born Nov. 16, 1920, in Macedonia, the daughter of Elbert and Lela (Sims) Boyles. She married William D. (Bill) Fisher on Aug. 20, 1940, and he preceded her in death April 20, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Ferguson on Jan. 3, 2013. Mrs Fisher was a dedicated housewife. She was very active in community affairs and very involved in the churches that she belonged to. She was a member of Home Extension and a 4H Leader in Macedonia. Mrs. Fisher was dedicated to her family's activities. Mrs. Fisher is survived by her son-in-law, Jeff Ferguson of Davenport, Fla.; two granddaughters, Terri Beaubien and husband, Glenn, of Marion, and Tami Ferguson of Kissimmee, Fla.; and three great-granddaughters, Micha Rotz of St. Louis, Brittany Moore of Kissimmee, Fla., and Cassie Moore of Kissimmee, Fla. She will also be missed by other family members. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Ron Cremeens officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brenda Ferguson Memorial Fund in care of Southern Illinois Community Foundation (SICF), 3000 W. DeYoung St., Suite 800B Marion, IL 62959.
