Vernon Register-News, Friday, August 5, 1966 Dies At Age 68; Rites At Sesser John Tenosky, 68, of Carbondale, a former resident of Sesser, died at 6:00 a.m. Thursday at Doctors Hospital in Carbondale, Mr. Tenosky was a retired coal miner. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church in Sesser. The Rev. Peter Hsu will officiate and burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery at Sesser. The body will lie in state at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser. where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today. At 8:00 o'clock tonight the Rosary will be recited, at the funeral home. Mr. Tenosky was bom February 28, 1898 in Pennsylvania, the son of Louis and Anna Tenosky. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the VFW at Sesser. He is survived by his wife, the former Lydia Baxter; one brother, Bernie of Sesser; and four sisters, Lucy Bonovz of Sesser, Helen Owens of Christopher, and Josephine Sateia and Anna O'Hara of St. Louis.
