a legal secretary at Western Electric division of AT&T, and retired after 35 years of service in 1982. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Raymond Smitke Sr.; her parents; brothers, Jean Vineyard, Dr. Clyde Dale Vineyard and infant niece, Sheila Vineyard. She is survived by her brothers, Houston Vineyard of Fairview Heights, Frank Julian Vineyard of Geyserville, Calif., and Richard Vineyard of Union Grove, Wis.; and a sister, Carmen MacGregor of Bluffton, S.C. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Raymond Smitke Jr. of Portland, Ore., Carol Kraker of Bayville, N.J., and Susan Schmid of Santa Barbara, Calif. Surviving nieces and nephews are Susan Vineyard, Terry Vineyard, Mark Vineyard, Steven Vineyard, George Vineyard, William Vineyard, Harold Vineyard, Alan Vineyard, Michael Vineyard, Jeffrey Vineyard, Rodney Vineyard, Dr. Carl Henley, Richard Henley, Gary Henley, Michelle McCrae, Kelly DeMillo and Jill Carnick. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 5, in Union Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Boner Cemetery.
