    3. Thanks Mary. I'm still trying to sort out the children from these various marriages. I see Silas Williams death record shows his father was Sanford Williams. Could this be William Sanford Williams b abt 1805 NC who married Mary Jane Waggoner 16 Jan 1846 FCI ?? Silas death record states his mother's maiden name was Shelton but I can't find a marriage like that. 1850 FCI census shows Wm. S. Williams age 45 with 6 older children from obviously previous marriage and wife named Mary age 20 with Silas Williams age 1. By 1860 census in Williamson Co, IL, Silas is now age 12.
