Obituary for Cheryl "Cherie" BrowningCheryl "Cherie" Browning 62, passed away April 3, 2014 at the Herrin Hospital. She was born October 6, 1951 in Carbondale to Leon and Leona (Johnson) Swisher. She married Gary Browning on July 12, 1975 and he survives of Mulkeytown. She operated the Nana's Nook restaurant in Royalton and attended the Royalton Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her children Joey Browning and his girlfriend Denise Bradshaw of Mulkeytown, and Angie Worley of Mulkeytown, one grandson Braden Worley, two sisters Amy and Jeffrey Jones of Wylie, TX and Paula and David Payne of Benton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be on Monday April 7, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gilbert Funeral Home with pastor David Sorensen officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday April 6, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery in Mulkeytown.
