SESSER -- James Laur, 73, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, in St. Louis University Hospital. He was born Dec. 28, 1940, in Sesser to James and Mildred (Gunter) Laur. Mr. Laur served in the U.S. Marines and was a retired coal miner. He was the husband of Judy Laur, who survives in Sesser. Other survivors include two sons, James Todd and James Michael Laur, both of Sesser. His wishes were to be cremated. No services or visitation will be conducted.
