His sister, Margaret Holman was from Ewing, and was the wife of Robert HOLMAN Paul Robert Hoskins, 89, Carmi, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. He was born June 2, 1924, in Heralds Prairie Township, White County, Illinois, the son of Corbett and Clarcie (Rogers) Hoskins. He was married to Mary Jane (Cooper) Hoskins, and she survives. Paul was a long-time businessman in Carmi, being the proprietor of Hoskins Appliances and Service for over 25 years. He was a past member of the Carmi Rotary Club and was a faithful and active member of First Christian Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Jane Hoskins of Carmi; daughters, Sharlyn Curtis of Carmi, Jennifer Milano of San Ramon, Calif., and Debby (Allen) Brown of St. Louis, Mo.; sisters, Barbara Byerly of St. Louis, and Betty Mills of Hemet, Calif.; grandchildren, Alex (Jacey) Brown (and son Max) , Richard Milano, David Milano, Nelia Curtis (and sons Morgan and Logan Brown), and Leigh Anne Harre. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edward and Roger; and sisters Lucille Chalpany, Margaret Holman, Esther Trueblood, Pauline Peele and Alice Downen. Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi. Funeral is at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014, at First Christian Church in Carmi with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Heralds Prairie Township, White County, Illinois.
