LaWanda was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Metropolis, to Vernon and Violet (Nannie) Taylor. Survivors include her son, Vernon (Linda) Lenzini of St. Charles, Mo.; daughter, Cynthia (Matthew) Nugent of Waterloo; sister, Rose Boston of Evergreen, Colo.; grandchildren, Shelby, Ian, Darby, Grace Nugent and Dominique Lenzini. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lenzini; parents; brother, Wid Taylor; and daughter, Cecilia Lenzini. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, in Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with Pastor Roger Teal officiating. Interment will be in Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road.
