Jesse G PAYNE was married to Martha Adaline PHILLIPS 11th Nov. 1852 in Franklin County, Illinois. Martha PAYNE died 27th Feb. 1857 Jesse G PAYNE was married to Louisa BROOKS in Jefferson Co., Illinois on 3rd Sept. 1857 by Rev. S.M. WEBB. There children was as follows Nancy J. PAYNE Oct. 28, 1853 William M. PAYNE March 10 , 1856 Lewis G. PAYNE  July 23 , 1858 Idema PAYNE Feb. 23 , 1862 Jesse PAYNE was in Company E 110 Ill Reg.  He was killed Dec. 31, 1862 at Murphysboro Tenn. Louisa was the second wife of Jesse PAYNE. Louisa PAYNE married Jonathan BROWNING on 10th May 1866 Franklin County, Illinois. Jonathan BROWNING died 28 Dec. 1869 and is Buried at Browning Hill Cemetery. Louisa BROWNING married Juilis KELLY on 26 Dec. 1876. Louisa KELLY married Joseph BOOKSTAVER  Where and when??? Louisa BOOKSTAVER died 6 Oct. 1918 Franklin County, Illinois. She is buried at Mt.Pleasant Cemetery. Strange thing in the Pension Records of Jesse G. PAYNE  a Coffin was bought on July 3, 1866 from R.D. Kirkpatrick & Company at Benton Illinois. I just cant figure out who it was for.  Does anyone have any thoughts on it? I wonder if Jesse G PAYNE was dug up and brought back to Franklin County after the Civil War?
