The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, March 24, 1970 Eva Lawson Benton Mrs. Eva Caroline Lawson, 84, of Benton, died at 5:00 a.m. today at Franklin Hospital in Benton. Funeral services for Mrs. Lawson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Ina Funeral Home. The Rev. William Bohn will officiate and burial will be in Kirk cemetery at Ina. The body will lie in state at the Ina Funeral Home where friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Lawson was born Jan. 3, 1886, in Franklin county, the daughter of Charles A. and Laura (Webb) Nance. She was married on April 9, 1910, in Fairfield, to Robert Lawson. He preceded her in death in 1963. Mrs. Lawson was a member of the First Baptist church in Benton. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Doris Lawson, of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
