Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, in Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, with the Rev. Donald Eberhart officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to TIP Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Fern was born Jan. 30, 1918, in rural Thompsonville, the daughter of Charlie and Martha (Grant) Gogue. She married Paul "Pete" Anderson on Aug. 13, 1938, in Paducah, Ky. He preceded her in death Feb. 9, 1997. They were married for almost 60 years. Fern was a homemaker. She was a devoted farmer's wife and the longest living member of Williamson County Farm Bureau. She was the oldest living member of Liberty 6 Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by a son, Loren Anderson and wife, Mildred of Corinth; a daughter, Louise Biehl and husband, Gene, of Marion; a daughter, Linda Jeter of Marion; a daughter, Beverly Jones and husband, J.C. of Marion; a son, Jim Anderson and wife, LuAnn, of Corinth; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; two great-great-stepgrandchildren; a brother-in-law, Donald Anderson of Herrin; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Elva Anderson of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Charles Loren Gogue; a sister, Blanche Malone; and a son-in-law, Lowell Jeter.
