Deane Steven Christian Obituary Deane Steven Christian, 64, of West Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 11:30 p.m. at his residence with his family by his side. He was born January 2, 1951 in Christopher to Charles Lewis Christian and Mary E. "Betty" (Gore) Christian. He married Damita Jo (Falletti) Christian on October 30, 1971 in West Frankfort. Deane is survived by his wife, Damita Christian of West Frankfort, two daughters, Michelle (Larry) Ogden of Dayton, Indiana and Carissa (Brennon) Richardson of Bedford, Indiana; three grandchildren, Mica Ogden, Kaydence Richardson and Christian Richardson; two sisters, Mary Jo (Rannie) Snider of Zeigler and Martha DeMattei of West Frankfort; sister-in-law, Andrea Christian of Benton; brother-in-law, Dennis (Terri) Falletti of Somonauk. and mother-in-law, Esther Falletti of West Frankfort and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his brother Michael Christian; brother-in-law, John DeMattei and father-in-law, Joe Falletti. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in West Frankfort. He was a coal miner and member of the UMWA for 31 years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and enjoyed woodworking where he made several pieces of furniture for his home and built a cabin in Golconda and was also a member of the West Frankfort Moose Lodge and the Boneyard Bocce Ball Club in Benton. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, in the St. John's Catholic Church in West Frankfort with Father Eusebius Mbidoaka officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Parker - Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with a Prayer Service starting at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in West Frankfort.
