Sharon Lynne Mandrell Fry, age 76, of Hersman, Illinois passed away at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Heritage Health, Therapy and Senior Care in Mt. Sterling. She was born October 11, 1938 in Benton, Illinois the daughter of Ralph and Mary Connor Mandrell. She married Larry G. Fry on April 30, 1960 in Springfield, Illinois and he survives. Mrs. Fry was a homemaker until she went to work and retired from the Brown County Courthouse serving as deputy for both the Treasurer's office and the County Clerk's office. Sharon graduated from Benton Community High School in Benton, Illinois and later attended Freed Hardman College in Henderson, Tennessee. Mrs. Fry was a member of the Church of Christ in Meredosia. Survivors include her husband Larry G. Fry of Hersman, Illinois. 1 son Gary Fry and his wife Susie of Versailles. 3 granddaughters Morgan, Kayla and Kendra. 1 brother Gordon Mandrell and his wife Linda Sue of Benton, Illinois also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons Perry Lee Fry in infancy and Lane Fry. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Mike Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Hersman Cemetery south of Mt. Sterling. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Hersman Cemetery Association.
