Funeral Home Website April 5, 2015 Barbara Ann (Bolen) Butler, 78, of rural Mulkeytown, Illinois passed away at 4:14 p.m. on Saturday, April 04, 2015 at her daughter's home with her loving family by her side. Barbara was born November 26, 1936 in West Frankfort to James Noble and Margaret Ann (Appleton) Bolen. She married Neil D. Butler June 20, 1953 in Freeman Spur, Illinois. He preceded her in death June 27, 2007. She is survived by children Denny Butler of Herrin and Trisha Butler of Marion, Greg Butler of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Kirk Butler of Centralia, Deidra and Ted Dollins and Rhona Butler all of Mulkeytown; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; a sister, Glenda Rice of Unicoi, TN; a brother-in-law and his wife, Gordon and Joyce Butler of Carbondale; a sister-in-law and her husband, Rita and Stuart Eldridge of Mulkeytown and special friends Carol Baczewski and Marsha Stanley. Her parents, son, Bret J. Butler, brother, Ronald Bolen and great grandson also preceded her in death. Barbara was a retired driver for Zeigler-Royalton School District and a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary. She was a Cardinal baseball fan and of Baptist faith. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Butler Cemetery on the Creek Nation Blacktop in Mulkeytown with Brother Don Wright officiating. There will be no public visitation. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery prior to the services.
