His love of sports continued throughout his life, playing baseball with his brothers and many longtime friends in various leagues, including the Sunday Morning League in the Peoria area. As always, family was first, and he loved spending time with them. He was a member of the Bartonville United Methodist Church and served as a trustee, usher and liturgical reader.
