Laurenti, 66, of West Frankfort, Illinois passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 12:26 p.m. at Herrin Hospital - Herrin, Illinois. She was born February 25, 1949 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Stanley and Almeda (Eaton) Podbevsek. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother; loved roses and reading. She married Charles Laurenti in West Frankfort on July 11, 1968 and he survives. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Podbevsek; and aunts and uncles. Survivors include her husband, Charles Laurenti of West Frankfort; one son, Brent (Cassandra) Laurenti of Georgetown, IN; two daughters: Lori Buckingham ( Chad Barron); Christi Laurenti both of West Frankfort; and eight grandchildren: Ryan Buckingham; Makayla Buckingham; Jaidyn Buckingham; Dakota Reed; Grant, Ariana, Caige, and Isabella Laurenti. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Union Funeral Home - West Frankfort, Illinois with Pastor Roger Teal officiating.Visitation will be Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at the funeral home.
