Eddie Joe Vaughn, Sr., 64, of West Frankfort, Illinois passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at 5:43 a.m. at VA Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. He was born May 31, 1950 in Herrin, Illinois to Ebb and Melba (Shubert) Vaughn. He was a member of a West Frankfort Bowling League; loved to hunt, fish, and play bingo. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Christina Lynn; and brother, Thomas Vaughn. Survivors include one son, Eddie (Michelle) Vaughn of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; two daughters: Florence (John) Broughton of West Frankfort; Holly Jo Bowdler of Ewing; three brothers: Henry (Gay) Vaughn ; Barry Vaughn; and Terry (Sara) Vaughn all of West Frankfort; two sisters: Lisa (Bill) Minor ; Anita (Curt) Caraway all of West Frankfort; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, Illinois with Pastor Joey Dunning officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at the funeral home from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road.
