Madeline E. Moyer, 71, of Benton, died at 6:42AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. She was born September 25, 1943 in Patoka, Indiana to Leonard and Goldie Augusta (McCrary) Bishop. She married Gerald L. Moyer on June 18, 1966. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2005. Madeline attended Third Baptist Church in West Frankfort. For over 20 years she worked as the cafeteria cook at Benton Middle School. She is survived by her daughter, Anna (Tracy) Henderson of Herrin; grandchildren, Jerry, Joseph and Gabbrianna Henderson also of Herrin; step-son, Gary Moyer of Evansville, Indiana; step-daughter, Lori Koss of Newburg, Indiana; brothers, Jim (Lois) Bishop and Don Eugen (Donna) Bishop both of Patoka, Indiana; sister, Ellen Y. Roach of Oakland City, Indiana; very dear friend, Brenda Behn of West Frankfort. Madeline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Jack and Vaughn Bishop; one sister, Anna Lee. Visitation will be Monday, April 6, 2015 from 4:00PM to 5:00PM at Crain Funeral Home Egyptian Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 5:00PM, Monday, April 6, 2015 at Crain Funeral Home Egyptian Chapel with Pastor James Kerley officiating. Inurnment will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to PAWS and will be accepted at the funeral home.
