Genevieve Elizabeth Bruce, 72, of Wayne City, IL, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday April 12, 2015 at Carle Hospital in Urbana. She was born on October 9, 1942 in McLeansboro, IL, the daughter of Edward and Dicie Richardson Aumiller. She married R.D. Bruce on August 28, 1960 in Ewing, IL. He survives. Other survivors include her daughters, LaDonna (Steve Fletcher) of Champaign, IL and Amanda (Ben) Bellerud of Catlin, IL; three brothers, Robert (Karen) Aumiller of Puyallup, WA, David (Kathy) Aumiller of Pawnee, IL and Calvin (Reva) Aumiller of Pawnee, IL; three sisters, Mildred Aumiller of Westchester, IL, Martha Jahr of Waterloo, IL, and Neva (Phil) Deal of Aurora, CO; two grandchildren, Matheu Fletcher & Miles Bellerud. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John & Raymond Aumiller, and two sisters, Helen Fisher & Margaret Wheeler. Genevieve was a nursing instructor for the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges. She was a member of the Wayne City Baptist Church. Genevieve enjoyed cooking & gardening. Most of all, she loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral service 2pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Catlin United Methodist Church with Rev. Curtis Flake officiating. Visitation from 1pm till time of service on Thursday at the church. Graveside services 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, IL.
