    2.   Harry Lee Racine, 90, of Benton, IL, died at 1:25 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, Crossroads Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL. He was born on July 18, 1924, in Harrisburg, IL, the son of Joe and Esther (Stricklin) Racine. He married Aline L. Sanders and she preceded him in death. Mr. Racine was a member of the United States Navy, serving in WWII on the USS Richmond. Harry retired from Orient #3 Mine as the Mine Superintendent. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, hunting, and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister, Oneta Macieiski, and three nephews, Tim Racine, Phillip Macieiski and Stanley Macieiski. Surviving relatives include his sister and brother, Mary M. Payne of Benton, IL, and Joe C. Racine and wife Mary L. of Waterloo, IL, nieces and nephews, Cheryl Morton, Julie Hubler, Glenn Racine, Kyle Racine, Sean Racine, Cynthia Murphy and Trudy Reynolds. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, Benton, IL. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., January 21, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Eugene T. Sanders Officiating. Burial will follow services at the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton IL with military honors being performed by Benton American Legion. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory.
