    2.   Gary Jones, 66, passed away 11:45 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO with his loving wife and daughters at his side. Gary was a well-known musician with the Gary Jones, Joe Stanley Band and also the Jonesey Boys with his brother, Steve, throughout the tri-state area of Southern Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri. He owned and operated Audio Recall in Carterville and was known for writing advertising jingles for businesses throughout the country. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, loved fishing and vacationing with his children and grandchildren at the beach. Loved spending time with his “Yanna” and being “pappy-monster” to “Cheeks” and “Josebug” and anticipating the arrival of newest grandbaby, Payton. Gary was born December 24, 1948 in Marion, IL to Blanchard and Vida Mae (Walker) Jones. Gary was united in marriage with Tammy R. Wells on October 24, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Tammy Jones of Carterville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Heather and Mike Slover of Carterville, Emily and Blake Reamy of Marion, Savana Jones of Carterville; three grandchildren, Josey Slover, Gracey Slover and Payton Mae Reamy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Angie Jones of Overland Park, KS, Steve and Norma Jones of West Frankfort; two step-brothers, Bill Boyt of Colorado Springs, CO, Charles Boyt of Huntington, WV; several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by father, Blanchard Jones, mother and step father, Vida M. and Jack Boyt; step brother, Bob Boyt and a step sister, Shirley Davis. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin with Pastor Bill Wiggs officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fountain Cemetery south of Marion. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the Family to assist with expenses; memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
