Vernon Register-News Tuesday, November 4, 1975 Mrs. Margaret "Pet" Pitchford, 85, of Route 5, died at 3:40 a.m. today. She was dead on arrival at jefferson Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tursday at the Osborn Funeral Chapel in Dix, with the Reverend Ross Paratridge and Reverend Melvin Chambliss officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Pitchford was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Mt. Vernon, and Mt. Vernon Women's Club. She was also a member of the first Baptist church in Sanford, Fla. She was born in Field Township, Feb. 4, 1890, the daughter of Will T. and Dora (Whitlock) Frost. Sh ewas married to Tony C. Pitchford, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Pitchford was also preceded in death by one brother, Frank Frost, one sister, Ethel Clark, and her parents. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank Frost, Mt. Vernon, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
