Charles "Chuck" Day, 75-year-old Thompsonville resident, Charles “Chuck” Day died at 6:34 Monday morning, Jan. 19 at his home. He was a truck driver.Survivors include his wife, Ellen Louise Day of Thompsonville; three daughters, Penny Blades and husband Randy of Johnston City, IL, Laura Chaffin and husband Jeffrey of Stonefort and Bridget Preslar of Benton, IL; four sons, Timothy Day and wife Bonnie of McLeansboro, David Day of Hawthorne, FL, Michael Day and wife Susan of Mt. Vernon, IL and Patrick Day of Johnston City, IL; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.At this time, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Mr. Day requested to be cremated and a family memorial service will follow at a later date.The Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.
