The Messenger, Madisonville, KY Posted: Saturday, March 28, 2015 12:00 am Edith "Buddie" Nell LaMond, 81, of Madisonville passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at her home. Mrs. LaMond was born April 28, 1933, in Dalton, daughter of the late Charles Ralph Hale and Ida Belle Mullens Hale. She also was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Roy Mullens and Edith Curtis Mullens; a sister, Betty Joan Hale Kirkpatrick; and a brother, Harold Dan Hale. She worked as a medical staff coordinator at Baptist Health Hospital. She was a member of the Draffenville Lions Club and First Baptist Church of Benton. She is survived by her husband, Charles K. LaMond; one daughter, Debbie (Roger) Tyson of Madisonville; three sons, Larry G. (Suzanne) Wilson of Madisonville, Ronald Dale Wilson of New Mexico and Charles R. (Kelly) LaMond of Madisonville; four sisters, Laurel (David) Bearden of Christopher, Illinois, Gwen Hargis of Mulkeytown, Illinois, Mary (Ron) Payne of Lone Oak and Brenda (Mick) Spotanski of Sesser, Illinois; a brother, Ralph (Brenda) Hale of Christopher; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Brother James Keeling officiating. Burial follows in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Baptist Hospice in Madisonville. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
