We were notified this evening of the death of my husband’s uncle. I don’t have an actual obit as of yet but I am posting the information I do have. William Short passed away on 5 March 2015 in Richmond, VA where he had resided for a number of years. He was born 17 Dec. 1924 to Marion and Stella Blanche (Barwick) Short. He was married to Nelma Gunter on 22 August 1943. He was retired from Whirlpool Corp. in Evansville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and by 4 siblings (Marie Short Chappee; “Buddy” Short; Dempsey Lavern Short; and James C. Short). He is survived by his wife, a sister (Betty Short Garbo of Benton); 2 children (Karen & Kenny), grandchildren and great-granchildren. A memorial service will be held in Richmond, VA at a later date.
