Southern Illinoisan online Mar 26, 2015 BENTON -- John David Wilkinson, 77, of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Benton, died Feb. 14, 2015 after suffering a stroke. Survivors include: a daughter Jennifer Carnahan (Mike) of Kennesaw, Georgia; four grandchildren, Collin Carnahan, Spencer Carnahan, Rachel Diaz and Danielle Diaz; a brother, Frank Wilkinson (Betty) of Crete and a sister, Mona Alka of Mount Carmel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28 in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Donations may be made to Rend Lake College Theater department or the music program at the school of your choice.
