Hughey Funeral Home Website Mar 25, 2015 (Photo) Obituary for Betty Bauer Betty Bauer passed away at 5:23 A.M. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her home in Mount Vernon. She was 73 years, 8 months, and 4 days old. Betty was born to Herbert and Julie (Terando) Hall on July 17, 1941 in Benton, Illinois. She married Phillip Bauer on September 22, 1962 at First Christian Church in Benton. Betty was a member of Central Christian Church for over 46 years. She was also a Registered Nurse and began her nursing career at Franklin Hospital in Benton, Illinois from 1962 to 1970 where she worked in the O.B. department. She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon from 1970 to 1973. She then worked with her husband in their business: Mount Vernon Warehouse Furniture and Appliance from 1973 to 1984. She worked in the Same Day Surgery Department at Crossroads Hospital from 1984 to 1993 then from 1993 to 2003 as a school nurse for the Franklin/Jefferson Regional Superintendent of Schools. Betty is survived by her: Husband: Phillip Bauer of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Sons: Mark Bauer and wife Michelle of Woodbridge, Virginia and Tim Bauer of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Grandchildren: Taylor Bauer, Laynie Bauer, and Truvaunty Badger, Great Granddaughter: Lillian Zacharias, Sister: Cindy Coughlin of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Brothers: Wiley Hall of Dana Point, California, Duane Hall of Franklin, Tennessee, and Scott Hall of Franklin, Tennessee, Sister-In-Law: Nancy deLatour, Brother-In-Law: Dave Bauer, and Several Nieces and Nephews also survive Her parents preceded her in death. 29 Mar 2015 Sunday Gathering of Family and Friends 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Central Christian Church 301 North 10th Street , Mt.
