The Southern Illinoisan, December 6, 2005 CHRISTOPHER - Ruby L. Williams, 42, of Christopher, died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, in Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with Brother John Snell officiating. Interment will be in Harrison Cemetery in Buckner. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. She was a certified nursing assistant. She was a member of Chapter 51 DAV in Christopher. She was born Feb. 8, 1963, in Benton, to Luther and Margaret (Swafford) Phillips. She married Paul Williams on May 6, 1998, in Benton, and he survives. Other survivors include children, Laura Phillips of Benton, Paula Williams of Christopher, and Paul Williams Jr., of Christopher; four stepchildren, Jennifer Hudetts of Christopher, Kevin Williams of Sesser, Raymond Williams of Tennessee and Amy Looney of Florida; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and siblings, Debbie and Alan Chapman of Coello, Cindy and John Monari of Buckner, Abby and Danny Hampton of Mulkeytown, Rose and David Spears of Benton, Luther and Sharon Phillips Jr., of Coello, Steve and Trudy Phillips of Valier, and Marty and Michell Philips of Sheldon. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a nephew.
