Thomas Michael "Tom" Neal, age 56, of Springfield, IL passed away Friday, February 27 at his home in Springfield, IL. Tom was a graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale and worked as an engineering technician for the Springfield, Illinois Department of Public Works.  He was a nature enthusiast who enjoyed the outdoors and a member of First Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Mr. Randy Sells presiding.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  Interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Oakwood Cemetery or Sangamon County Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
